With their brand-new single “Everglow”, German progressive rock band The Cryptex return in full force – offering exactly what the world needs in 2025: diverse, original music that refuses to fit into any box.
Hailing from Lower Saxony, The Cryptex have always followed their own path. While the band’s sound is rooted in progressive rock, it draws inspiration from a wide range of genres. At times, you’ll hear echoes of Queen in their most artistic era – at others, you’ll find yourself surprised by adventurous arrangements reminiscent of YES. And still, it’s always unmistakably Cryptex.
Following four internationally released albums, more than 450 shows across 23 countries, and acclaimed tours alongside Alice Cooper, Pain of Salvation, and Threshold, The Cryptex have firmly established themselves as one of Europe’s most compelling live acts.
Milestones like the legendary ProgPower USA Festival in Atlanta, the world-famous 70.000 Tons of Metal Cruise, and festivals such as the Metaldays (Slovenia) have marked the band’s impressive journey.
Now, in October 2025, another highlight awaits: The Cryptex will be performing at ProgPower Europe, held from October 3–5 at SJIWA BAARLO in Baarlo, The Netherlands – one of Europe’s premier gatherings for progressive music lovers.

Ihr erstes US-Konzert gaben sie im Februar 2017, dazu kamen mehrere eigene Headliner-Tourneen. Mit Begeisterung wurden bislang ihre vier offiziellen Alben gefeiert – seit dem bahnbrechenden Debüt im Jahr 2011.
